Samantha Lori Glass

My name is Samantha Lori Glass, and I am an Honors student studying Media and Communications with a concentration in Screen Media. I am the President of Arcadia University’s first chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA). My love for film began with watching old, classic Hollywood Films. I have created numerous short films, including a documentary on Weinrich Bakery, experimental films, and narrative films. I interned at Fox 29 Philadelphia where I had the opportunity to work on Good Day Philadelphia, The Q, and The ClassH-Room. Seeing different parts of production come to life from the idea stage to taping has made me fall more in love with film. My goal is to produce stories that create change within society as almost everyone has access to television. In the fall, I will be attending Chapman University’s Graduate MFA Film and Television Producing Program.

My original thesis project was about a disease outbreak that occurred within a disease-free society. However, due to the recent outbreak of COVID-19, I had to quickly change my thesis topic and save my narrative film for a later date.

For my thesis project, I am telling the story of Teddy Pendergrass I, who was a famous R&B singer. I met his son, Teddy Pendergrass II at Fox 29. Teddy’s relationship with his father was strong, and he holds his memory with his wife and three children.
