Well, it’s over. After over 15 years, my school days are almost over. And just three days ago, I submitted my book. Overall, I would say I am happy about what I have done. My love for technology, writing, and film all came about when I was young, so I feel writing about movies, in a city I’m familiar with, with nothing but Microsoft Word, and the great resource that is the Internet, all culminated into what I’ve learned and experienced.

It’s certainly a surreal moment at the end of the day. Just this past January, I was heading into my final semester, getting ready to start out my book that I only barely begun production on, and doing casual glances at the job listing. Now, I’m stuck home, looking for what little work is available, and developing these simple blogs. Yet at the very end of the day, it was all worth it. While my manuscript is just a proof-of-concept in my eyes, I feel as if I really accomplished something wonderful. Something that will one day be published and shared across bookstores and libraries for years to come. With new movies, new details, and maybe even interviews from some of Philadelphia’s all-time greats.

But that’s for later. For now, I’m just hoping to find at least some sort of work in these crazy times we live in. Whether it will come to fruition or not is up for grabs, but I still have plenty of time to find what I’m looking for, and I’m excited to see where the world takes me from here.
