It’s often hard to believe that all of these great experiences I had abroad were now a year ago. At this time in 2019, I was adjusting to being back in America, and it wasn’t exactly easy. I may have been back in my home environment, but it was a huge shift from this reality that felt like a dream, back to plain reality. I compare that a lot to my current state now. Being home, adjusting to home life and its ways, and finishing up school in a different environment. It hasn’t been easy, but I am taking what I have and making good out of it. I am focused on school work and completing my assignments. I have been in contact with my friends constantly. I got to do what I got to do, and I know there is a light at the end of the tunnel. It feels bittersweet that my undergraduate experience is coming to an end soon, but I feel so proud of myself and I am proud of my peers. I feel a sense of accomplishment, and that we are all in this together. I remain hopefully, and I know there are great things to come.
