Creative Project Vision Statement
Since the beginning of the pandemic, the thing I’ve missed the most about being an active student in the world is seeing other young people express themselves visually through fashion and art. For my Creative Thesis project I will be producing a “Street Style” Zine that will focus on personal style and identity within youth culture. This Zine will utilize the perspective of a street style photographer who observes and captures the self-expression of students on Arcadia’s campus. This will include impromptu photo shoots of students outfits (with the consent of the subjects) as well as 2-3 more formal personal style photoshoots. These photoshoots will be developed into trend profiles, collage-style magazine spreads, and brief interviews with the subjects about their individual style expression.
