George Wade

Hi! I’m George Wade, a senior media & communications major with a concentration in screen media and a minor in public relations. I’m from Franklin Twp., New Jersey, and have been swimming since I was seven years old. I am currently, or well, was a member of the Arcadia Men’s Swim Team all 5 years I’ve been here, setting a few records along the way and having a lot of fun doing so with my teammates.

For the past 4 years, I have been an ocean lifeguard for Surf City Beach Patrol in Long Beach Island, NJ and it’s been so much fun. I have competed in lifeguard tournaments, made rescues, and met a lot of cool people. This year, I work as an intern for Arcadia’s athletic communications department, doing various different things such as running the livestreams, cameras, making graphics, editing the Arcadia athletics website (arcadiaknights.com), and more. I’m looking for positions in the athletic communications field right now, along with looking for jobs as a swim coach.
