Sometimes life hits you in the head with a brick. Don’t lose faith.” -Steve Jobs

Capstone Explanation

For my Creative Capstone project, I teamed up with a good friend and peer, Isaiah Davenport, to create a short visual narrative with little to no dialogue that is driven by the music produced by Isaiah. The short, Hues To Blame, includes four songs (produced by Isaiah) that’ll drive the narrative which revolves around the character’s internal struggles like facing anxiety, breaking bad habits, and experience life in a way that isn’t suffocating. The goal of the project is to showcase the skills Isaiah and I gained during the duration of our undergraduate journey. Unfortunately, due to the unforeseen circumstances of the COVID-19 Pandemic, our production period was cut short, and Isaiah and I will have to adapt to the situation and work with the footage we have shot in late-January. Although the switch to the online format has limited our ability to complete the short, we are determined to create a piece that we are proud of.
