Procrastination is a real struggle, but not having the emotional energy to tackle tasks is a slightly different challenge. Being a young adult in this world can be taxing, but some things in life keep you grounded somehow. For me, I’ve been reflecting on my time here at Arcadia and I’ve been grateful for everything and everyone I’ve met here.
I learned that I loved media and communications here, and I found out I loved being in Loco Mag. Which eventually turned into what my senior project is, so, I have a lot to be grateful for. As my time here comes to a close, I just want to showcase the skills I’ve learned in Murphy, and at Arcadia. I think that’s why I chose to make a magazine for my project, because it was the best representation of the things I’ve learned here.
Even though I’ve been running into issues with contributions, I think I should have enough to string together a small publication. Which is all I can ask for, really. If anyone else in the future is interested in creating a publication, don’t let the number of submissions get you down. If you’ve only got a handful of submissions it just means a cozier magazine issue.
