Since my first blog post, we have recorded two more episodes. The second episode we did was called “Well Traveled,” where we chose songs that reminded us of all of the traveling we did for hockey, as well as trips we went on and concerts we went to. Following the conclusion of our recording session for episode two, we recorded a skit to use as an intro. I was able to finish editing the first two episodes, so they are officially done. One thing I had imagined when thoughts of this project were in the works is that some of the intros of songs would play faintly in the background of us talking, just like a radio station would do. This was a lot easier to edit than I anticipated, thanks to the podcast equipment in Murphy Hall giving us an option to save just the Bluetooth from the recording. Last week, we recorded episode three, and it was the first time we featured guests on the episode. This went well and I am interested to see if it makes editing any more difficult, since they called in. This week, the week of February 24, 2025, we will be recording episode four. Finally, we finalized a publishing schedule. We will publish one episode every Friday, which should land us on posting our final episode two weeks before Thesis Day. I am continuing to enjoy this process and happy that everything has come together.
