I’ve been able to get into contact with several people who would be willing collaborators for the magazine. I have several friends interested in doing art pieces to be included, as well as a friend interested in writing a piece. I started designing the cover art for the magazine, which I think I’m going to put a lot of effort into, as it will be the first thing anyone sees when looking at it. I’m doing the artwork itself on procreate, and I think I’ll do other smaller drawings and such to incorporate throughout. From there, I think I’ll use Photoshop and InDesign to add the text features for the cover and the rest of the pages. A big thing going forward is going to be organization and figuring out how exactly I want the magazine to be laid out. I think I’m also going to try to get in contact with some female comic-book writers/artists for an interview. I think their perspective as people in the industry will be very valuable to the topic I’m covering. I’m also considering reaching out to some cosplayers as well, but in that sense, more of a poll of some sort rather than an interview with any one specific person. I’m really going to try to start getting some solid things down on paper as soon as possible.
