Vision Statement
Growing up I had a very unhealthy relationship with food. Like many girls of my generation, I struggled with meeting the idea of an “ideal” body type almost my entire childhood and it wasn’t until I was almost an adult that I began to discover the world of nutrition and fitness. Through fitness, I was able to develop an understanding and love for myself and my appearance. I was able to discover the gym and prioritize my nutrition. At the age of 20 I was able to begin understanding the power that diet and exercise can have over one’s physique and reap the benefits of a changed positive mindset in life.
Overtime I have become familiar with the many things nutrition can provide. I intend to mainly focus on the elements of nutrition that pertain to bodybuilding and the benefits food can provide both to the sport and throughout life. There are a lot of misconceptions about food pertaining to weight loss that can be unhealthy and lead to dangerous practices within the industry and I intend to warn and dispel these misconceptions through personal experience and research.
I plan to dismantle these misconceptions, while also providing an understanding of some of the factors for nutrition that can help lead to a desired physique. The health and fitness industry is often associated with weight loss, which can be useful for some at first, but is only the tip of the iceberg for the industry and for nutrition as a whole. I will provide personal recommendations based on experience, tips for success, and recipes for some of my favorite high protein and macro friendly foods.
