I finally got an interview! Two actually! I reached out to a bunch of comic creators via direct messages on Instagram and I received responses from Erica Schultz and Peach Momoko, who are both currently writing for Marvel. I hope to do a short profile on each of them in the magazine and then include their interview responses as separate but related articles. I also put together a Google Form to get some statistics on popular superheroes, and I’ve received almost 50 responses so far from a variety of sources that cover different demographics of age and gender. I plan to turn these results into visual media such as graphs and display them in the final project. I’m working on another art piece that I want to feature, as well as getting sketches from other collaborators that I can include. I plan on using Canva’s magazine template to put the project together entirely, but I’ll probably still do a lot of the design elements in Procreate and Photoshop, as they give me a little more freedom artistically.
