The project is taking off on a great note (pun 100% intended)! I was able to access my ProTools session that holds the rough demo of my original song from last year. I started to consolidate all of the clips individually from this DAW (digital audio workspace) and move them onto Logic Pro in order to have an easier time with accessing the project on my laptop, as well as working on it on-campus. However, after giving it some more thought, I have decided that I can continue working on Protools to edit and mix the whole song, as I am more familiar with Protools, and the 30-day free trial I am on will help me stay on track with finishing up the recording, mixing, and mastering of the song within my timeline. I will keep the consolidated clips and any new recordings on a backup file on Logic Pro in case I have to continue past the time frame (and in case any problems arise while using the ProTools trial).
Otherwise, I have also started scouting out possible locations to start filming clips for the music video. I want to take advantage of the snowy landscape we currently have for the video before it melts, as it will help emulate the emotions of the song. So far, I am thinking of using the railroad tracks behind my neighborhood, some expansive fields that I drive by on my way to campus, the Glenside train station, and possibly the steps of the Art Museum in Philly. I am also looking through my camera roll, and older video clips from my childhood that will be used as a sort of collage of nostalgia within the final video as well.
