Phew – creating my capstone project has been a rough go so far – but not in the traditional

sense. Over the past few weeks, I’ve managed to obtain a good amount of information on

Lithuanian culture, my grandfather, and other such things that I think would be good additions to

my multimedia book. However, the issues start when I actually begin writing. You see, I have a

hard time actually sitting down and writing. I think this is mostly due to the fact that I care about

this book very much, and want to properly be able to honor my grandparents’ story. I have

written some things – about a page and a half – but it’s nowhere near enough for the size this

project should be. I think another aspect of all of this is that I’m just so burnt out from school. All

of my classes are around 9am, and as a night owl who struggles to fall asleep before 11:30pm

on the regular, that’s not good. Currently, my future plans are to set up writing times and

schedules for myself, and to try and commit to those. I’ve also been slowly putting together a

photo gallery of items from my grandfather and his homeland. My main goal though right now is

to inspire myself to jumpstart the writing process, and I plan on doing that by visiting a

Lithuanian culture center I found located in Philly. That’s it for now though, I’ll be checking in

again soon! Included with this post a few of the photos I’ve been taking, I hope everyone enjoys

them!
